New Photo, Echo Curio June 17, Big Sur July 12, special guest cellist, United Notes, Common Ear pod Cast,

Greetings!! We just got done shooting another fun shoot last weekend with the magnificent Rachel Carr of Contessan. Church of Fashion's Tricky Poodle a.k.a.Charon Nogues organized the shoot (apart from April's mamosas and mushroom turnovers) and did the mad styling. Linda Immediato did the make up. We got sample paraben free make up from smash box (thanks to Farah) This image is a sneak peak of the shoot, more to come once Rachel and April get heavy on the digital foot surgery. Shelina had broken her toes, and we photo shopped in her fixed foot. Can you tell? We did some shots in the empty pond and some shots in my bedroom. Originally, we were planning on going up to the Angeles Forest for some shots at Switzer Falls. Mercury is in retro grade so of course Shelina hurt her little toes and so we did the shoot at April's home.
While driving yesterday, I heard a song called Big Sur on KXLU by I think it was the Beach Boys. This song made me so happy!!!The Lynx Technique is playing up at the Henry Miller Library in Big Sur on July 12th at 2pm so we plan on picking up some fascinating books and doing a hike hopefully getting some shots while at the breath taking Pfieffer Falls. Our camp site is right near a stream so hopefully we'll be able to get some interesting shots with water. The Sebrina will be camping with us so we hope she'll bless us with her snappy snapping.

As the photo shows, and so does the poster we have a show at Echo Curio on June 17! If you live in Echo Park, you'll likely see the posters around town. The Robontanists are really good and we are excited about the show. April's little sister is graduating from sixth grade earlier that that day so she hopes to kidnap her and bring her along to the all ages show for her first rock show experience!!!
Our awesome friend April Laird who played cello with us for the past 9 months is taking time out to focus on her other band Wells of Rickett with her boyfriend Rickett. We all just moved into Bed Rock studios together and the color corrdinated p.a. cable system rocks! Laird and clan are camping along side us in Big Sur in July. We love her red headed life of the party attitude and hope she'll play some more shows with us in the future!
The Lynx Technique has taken the reigns of the label United Notes. Designed and founded by the graphic designer Loren Gillum, for the Lynx Technique's release of Algebra, he has gotten busy with graphic design and left the label to The Lynx Technique to self release their up coming, Academy of the Lynx this summer. Thank you Loren!
Finally, we were played on the Common Ear pod cast. The pod cast is recorded by Hands and can be found on itunes. Just search for "The Common Ear". Along with a few songs from our upcoming release, we were also involved with a creative discussion about music.
